It has been a while since my last post here.

Donna is now happily home. She was very happy to be here and spending a week with my boys, cats & goats. She really got used to them all.
Last Sunday we were training together (Donna & the boys + also Donna’s sister).
Eddie is enrolled to field trial on October 3rd so I’m hoping he will be picking up crows on his own by then. He is still not quite sure if he wants to pick them. If I throw the crows, then he is picking them up but if he needs to retrieve them without them being thrown, that might cause some problems.
So please keep your fingers grossed that everything will go fine next month and he passes the test. Donna’s owners have already given us champagne for it.

We have a brand new whistle.

The pink whistle supports the cause of breast cancer.
A good whistle, just like my “orginal” one with the same tone too. I already tested it on Tuesday when we went for a walk with the dogs.
Here’s more photos of the “Jäkälä” , Lichen, that Michelle was asking about
.

Tomorrow I take Finley for his second grade 1 gun dog training before the exam in September. I am hoping that his behaviour is better than last week when he completely forgot obedience & retrieves & went into puppy making mode.
I will try to get some photos however they weather man is predicting torrential rain. Probably another hurricane.
Finley has the bacterial infection on his tummy for a second time. If anyone has any suggestions I would be interested.

F: “Can she see us?”
B:”no she has that thing up near her face.”
F: “Can she hear us?”
B:”No deaf as a post.”
F:”So how did the booking at the Reading Festival go?”
B: “Well I found mamas credit card & tried to book. The woman said that she could not hear me cos there was a lot of barking. How else am I meant to communicate?”
F: “So we are not going? How is the trip to Finland panning out?”
B: “Similar barking issues however have found a cage to stuff mamma in. Have you found the euros & passports?”
F:”Yes found the Euros however still need to find the passports?”
B: “So where are the Euros?”
F:”Oops, may need to use the hose pipe.”
B:”What do you mean? You haven’t eaten them?”
F:”Em well. I had a chew moment & since I cannot find the Euros I think we need the hose pipe.”
B:”Oh no!”

The bad boys are still training. We had a play with the camera afterwards & managed to get this picture. I am not sure Baxter will be ready for his grade 2 exam. I have training schedule drafted however we need to do some catch up. So long as Finley retrieves we should get him through his grade 1. Fingers crossed.
