Tony is now on his way back to UK. Before he left we went for a nice walk in the forest with the boys. This was  about 5km since I did not put the Sports Tracker on from the beginning.

Eddie had a nice 18km (12 miles) cycling tour yesterday. Alfie stayed in since I was with couple of people and did not want to cause too much hassle with two dogs.

Tony has been very busy with the forest work and my plot looks so much different now. I wish I had taken some photos before and after Tony’s visit since it has made so much diffefence.

Saturday we went to the Lahti international dog show and Tony saw some ski jumps.

Tony is about to leave soon back to UK.

Tony arrived Finland safely and he had a nice & short walk in the Finnish forest. We didn’t see any wildlife but of course when Tony wasn’t walking with us on Sunday we saw “Metsäpeura” (this is translated as Forest Reindeer but I find it a bit funny as the only reindeers I know are the ones in Lapland and working for Santa and are called “Poro” in Finnish).

Saturday was a good day for Tony as see saw lots of good dogs and was impressed by the stock we have in Finland. Flat Garden’s Arthur XII was BOB.

On Sunday we went to see Working Test. It was freezing cold with the northern wind. The boys were also with us.

Next Saturday we will go to see Lahti International dog show. In the meanwhile Tony has been a good “slave” and had been chopping all my wood and cleaned the house.

We have also had a look at the Finnish FCR in the internet and I found the yearbook from the year 2002.

B – “Where did you go last night?”

F – “Silver KCGC training.”

B – “The problem I have with this training & exams is that it doesn’t cover any of my specialist skills.”

F – “Oh, what are these specialist skills?”

B – “Retrieving, swimming & dancing, of course.”

F – “Ah, yes I remember.  So you are trying to tell me you may need a few attempts!”

B – “Well, maybe”

F - “Can you see them now?”

B - “No, but I think they went to a show today. We should keep looking”

F - “Can you see any snow”

B - “I am sure we will see snow even though it is 21 degrees centigrade.”

F- ” Shall we go home & get some dinner, maybe we will get roast chicken?”

B - “Dinner, dinner, dinner, that is all you think about.”

B - ”These are the chaps Alfie & Eddie visited on Eddie’s birthday”

F - “So we have found Finland?  Where is the snow”

B - “Melted.  Come on lets look for Eddie, Alfie, Sari & Tony.”

F - “Okay.  Do you think we can then look for the snow?”
