My working dogs

I had an additional riding lesson on Thursday and I had my boys with me since I knew they needed to work in the stable.

On Wednesday during my weekly riding lesson some very young girls tried to transport hay pales from the barn to the stable using sledge. It was too heavy for them.

So on Thursday the boys were wore harnesses. They both transported 3 hay pales eg 6 in total. It was a new experience for them and we were having so much fun!

This photo is taken in a dark barn using mobile phone. The boys were also wearing reflector vests (they got them from Santa).

Today we walked around the old wall.  The boys love this walk.  When they are ontop of the wall they can see everything that is going on. View from on the wall The snow is only just starting to melt & we may get more tomorrow.

I took the pictures with my mobile so they are not briliant.

Baxter & Finley playing with a stick

Flatcoats love the snow.  Baxter even went for a swim in a river.

Today I arrived home to the bad boys giving soapy burps.  Finley had been in the cupboard & found the soap flakes.  http://www.soap-flakes.com/history.html

After chewing the box he obviously thought the contents were delicious.  Both boys guzzled the contents leaving the only piece of evidence.  The box!

We woke up this morning to 3 – 4 cms of snow.  It was great.  Finley showed Baxter how to do a snow plough with his nose.  There was running, rolling, digging & playing.  We may get some more tonight however it is a little warm at the moment & the snow is melting.Baxter in the snowBater & Finley snow walk
