Here is a (mobile phone) video taken couple of days ago in “our” forest.
Otto, the neighbor, is in the clip too.

Yesterday I received two Gundog DVDs that I had ordered from eBay.
I am really looking forward to get more motivation to train my boys. To be honest, I have been pretty lazy lately.
The good thing is that there is time before the next trial season so hopefully these DVD’s help me to keep motivated and also give good tools to train the dog.
My first two flatcoats passed the first trial but Ella did not. She tried twice (before her sudden death). I have also tried once with Eddie but he was not too keen on crows which are often used in trials in Finland.
Crows are never shot in the real situation (who would eat them anyway) but since they are used in the trials, I need to do something to motivate both of my boys to crows. Eddie was fine with ducks in the trial but they are only used in the water work part.
I also have a very good book about gundogs (by Sten Christoffersson). I could not find this in English but if you see this book in your language, I recommend it highly.

It was -7.9 C (about 17.6 F) when we woke up this morning. There was some tiny ice in the pond + the lawn was frosty.
We did not have show like some lucky flat coats here in Finland.
The boys need some grooming. Shows pretty well in the photos.
They broke my coffee maker’s glassy pot.
I have to feed the cats on the table because the boys tend to steal cat food. But even if the cat food is on the table they are going their best to steal it. Quite often with success
Today they managed to break the coffee pot and it will make me very angry. I am addicted to caffeine and the shops will open tomorrow at noon. It would be too long without the coffee but I have myCafe coffee maker which makes poor coffee but it’ll do until I can make the real coffee with Mocca Master
This will most definitely motivate me to teach them the hard way not to steal anything from the table.
Until next proper cup of coffee I’m their “psycho mama”….
Some tiny “snow flakes” are falling. They are melting as soon as they hit the ground.
This is the first “snow” in the souther Finland this season. In the northern part of Finland they have already had good snowfalls.
Flatcoats love the snow, so let’s hope we’ll get a good winter (lots of snow) this year.![]()
