In Finland the season for hunting elks always starts on the last Saturday in September. I heard from one of the locals they normally start later, Saturday 18/10 this year.

The hunting area starts just after my piece of land.

Now I have challenges of going for a walks in the forest because there might be elk-hunting just then. This is my first time in the area, so I really do not know what is happening in the forest and when.

Anyway the boys have been very initiative in exercising: I only need to open the front door They have been happy to visit the neighbors who do not mind that at all. There are other dogs in my yard too and it is fine for me (as long as it is peaceful).

Also I’m very grateful to my dad who did the fence for my dogs. It is 2 meters high so it should be enoug heven for my boys to stay inside.

I think that my boys should have enough exercise even during the local hunting season.
